No! while very strong and resilient, titanium is very brittle in its natural form, and doesn't tend to hold an edge for that kind of abuse. also, it's a very bendable metal. sorry!

A Titanium blade would be crap!!! it is too hard to make a blade out of it would have to be over an inch thick!!! (i think that titanium sucks) i am a fan of Steel

I have an application for a high speed, stepper motor driven gate. They are currently made from aluminum but the low weight and high strength properties of titanium are interesting. Could anyone give me an idea of the cost comparision of 50mm Aluminum round stock compared to titanium?
