have an 1/8 dia. by 3" piece of metal, how do i tell if it is Titanium?

take a grinder to it if it sparks orange its titanium

I have been working with 3Al-2.5V and 6Al-4V (Aircraft grades) Titanium and it sparks white....

Does CP (commercially pure) spark orange?

check density.... MatWeb.com has all the information on it.... .16 lb/in^2
